| I didn't want to travel this road after dark, but it just sort of worked out that way. It was pretty amazing. There was no gas, no coffee, no cell phone service for the 120 or so miles to Tonopah. The speed limit was 70, if you dared, but a wheel over the edge could have been fatal. You could see oncoming cars for 3-5 minutes before meeting them. In Tonopah, there were hotels, casinos, and a McDonald's. Just amazing. |
